Arkansas Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame announces 2026 class and special recognition.
Longtime Natural State media members Ray Tucker and Steve Wright have been elected to the Arkansas Sportswriters and Sportscasters Hall of Fame. Additionally, Tim Hamilton is receiving the Mike Harrison Award for Excellence.
They will be formally inducted at noon on July 30 at Home 2 Suites by Hilton in Springdale as part of the Hawgs Illustrated Sports Club luncheon series. At the same luncheon, Tim Hamilton will be presented with the Hall of Fame's second ever Mike Harrison Excellence in Sports Media Award.
Each year the Arkansas Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame elects new members in each category. The Mike Harrison Excellence in Sports Media Award was created to recognize individuals who work in sports but do not fit the traditional definition of a sportswriter or a sportscaster. Harrison founded the Arkansas Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame.
To satisfy your appetite for both sports and great food, lunch will be catered by Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q starting at 11:30 am.
